SATIRE .
Greg, Who is he?
Greg Collishaw produced a highly creative film for his VCE at Aquinas College Ringwood which amazed and delighted the audience recently at Ringwood Movie Makers. The film “Satire” began with a group of people all together in a secret hideaway not knowing why they were there of where they were in the universe. How could they attempt an escape not knowing what dangers might be lurking outside the wall? What should they do now? Greg's creativity was aimed at a central purpose - to focus on the significance of dialogue between characters. To achieve this focus Greg dulled down all other aspects of the film, using a white background, neutral costumes and constantly swapping the main actor. This drew attention to the character of each actor and how each one was thinking about their strange situation. Greg directed and edited the film himself, as well as writing the titles, credits and music. Greg said that he had a ball making this film with a cast of 20 and a crew of 8. It's what inspired him to chase his dream of film directing and to that end Greg is currently doing Certificate IV in Screen and Media at Footscray Film College. The film received a VCE rating of A+, and was featured in ‘Mastering Of The Arts' which is a festival where the best artistic works done at Aquinas College are shown over a few days. It will also be entered in ‘Top Screen', which is a collection of the best works from schools around the state.
