June Furness

Drawing and painting has been a big part of June's life. Photography too has played its role.

In the 1990's she completed a Certificate of Art & Design at Box Hill TAFE and later graduated from RMIT with a degree in Fine Art. Being a mature-aged student in a young creative environment was a very worthwhile experience.

In 1998 an overseas trip saw the purchase of her first video camera. She was instantly taken by the moving image and could see there was a lot of scope for creativity.

Keen to learn and make friends with other filmmakers she joined the Ringwood Movie Makers in 2000 and later the Melbourne PC Users.

In 2011 June continues to draw and take moving footage and is blown away by the technology now available for taking and editing her images.
