Ringwood Movie Makers Proud to work with Monkami

Monkami is a non profit disability service provider, which has been operating for more than 50 years. Presently, there are 95 people from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne  who utilise Monkami services.

An important activity at Monkami is the drama group which is responsible for writing & creating their own stage show. It is a great opportunity for them to perform and receive audience feedback. The staff at Monkami encourage an individual's self expression, which increases self confidence, develops communication skills, increases body awareness, and enhances listening skills.

RMM was asked to produce a DVD of this year's production by Monkami players. The on stage performance was videoed at the Karralyka Theatre Ringwood using 3 cameras and edited together to produce a very watchable DVD.

This is the third year RMM has been involved with Monkami and we are sure it will become an annual event for us.

 Because of the disabilities these people have you have to admire their determination to do their best in the performance and the uninhibited happy way they perform for the enjoyment of a packed house.
