Ringwood Movie Makers is one of Australia's most successful non-professional movie making clubs. The Club was formed in 1956 by a group of movie makers using film cameras. Over time the thrust of the club has changed and most members now produce movies using video camera and DVD format.
We are now high definition, wide screen, and blue ray compliant. As well, all earlier standards have been retained such as DV tape and DVD both 4:3 and 16:9 standard definition PAL and NTSC
The Club runs competitions for its own members movies and participates in many national and international events. In addition special interest groups (S.I.G's) are run to teach members the finer arts of movie making.
