- All positions are unpaid and the films made will not be shown for any form of remuneration or commercial purpose
- Actors will be required to sign a release form with regard to any rights for their work.
- Actors will be given due credit as part of the pre or post titling of the film

Scripts
Ringwood Movie Makers is prepared to accept scripts for possible use in the movies made by members. Scripts need to conform to certain constraints to be accepted. As stated above for actors, certain points should be borne in mind before submitting scripts. If you are unsure email us at Scripts with your query. We try to respond to all emails within one week.
- Scripts must be written in the English language
- Movies made by members normally run from 3 to 30 minutes. Submitted scripts must be within these time constraints. Some of our members may be interested in scripts outside these limits but it is very unlikely that a movie exceeding 30 minutes will be produced.
- Make sure you have added return postage, a contact number, and a return address if you wish your script to be returned. Normally we catalog and store scripts for possible future use.
- Ringwood Movie Makers does not require exclusive rights for the use of scripts. Copyright for the script remains with the writer, however, Ringwood Movie Makers will require a Royalty Free Use release form to be signed for any script which is accepted for production. Rights to movies produced from submitted scripts will remain with Ringwood Movie Makers to use as they see fit other than for pecuniary gain. If you sell the script to a third party after submitting it to Ringwood Movie Makers you may need to note that we have royalty free use in your contract with the third party.
- Scripts requiring a "cast of thousands" or expensive special effects are normally beyond the resources of the club and are usually rejected. Some computer generated effects are within our capabilities so keep that aspect in mind. We can cope with chroma key (blue screen) and similar effects
- Storylines should conform generally to a "G" rating however adult themes, partial or implied nudity, and mild violence are permissible. Drug themes, extreme violence, and full nudity sex scenes will be result in the script being rejected. If in doubt ask.
- If you wish your script to be critiqued by our script team and the comments returned to you, please indicate this on your submission. We try to be kind and constructive but no responsibility is accepted or discussion entered into if you don't like our comments. Comments are based on the scripts applicability to club use and should not be taken to relate to the merit of the script for other uses.
- Our target audience is in three categories, 1 normal adult public viewing 2. Aged residents in care institutions, 3. Competition judges both local and overseas. We will consider scripts targeted at other audiences such as technical documentaries, children's entertainment, travel and etc.
- We will accept scripts of less than 5 Megabyte size in MS Word or text file format, by email however the preferred method of submission is by post to the clubs post office box. (see the contacts page for full postage details) Mark the outside of the envelope :for "Attention Script team "
- Scripts will be kept confidential and not onsold or released to third parties not club members without the Authors permission.
- Ringwood Movie Makers will make every attempt to take good care of your script, but no responsibility will be accepted for scripts lost or damaged.
